Park Passport Program

The parks in Reading are a great asset for the local community! The WeTHRIVE! team noticed this and wanted to find a way to increase the awareness of many green spaces and sites throughout the city, while encouraging kids to be outside and be more active.

That’s when the team created the Park Passport Program in 2019, partnering with local businesses and families to sponsor 14 passport sites along with a special treat from Don’s Creamy Whip once the entire passport was completed. The team was excited to see the success of the program and looks forward to its expansion!

In 2023, we replaced the park passport signs from plastic to a longer-lasting metal sign, thanks to a WeTHRIVE mini-grant from Hamilton County Public Health.
